I did a financial advising internship my junior year of college that required I obtain a Life, Accident & Health producer license. I found I did not care for financial advising; however I (strangely) enjoyed the insurance courses. Halfway through my final year of college, a family friend advised there was an open position at the company he worked for within the client technical services department. Between my intrigue of the insurance industry, my knack for math and my need for social interaction, it seemed like a natural fit. So here I am!
Strangest job ever:
Probably my very first job developing photos at Proex. I saw things at 16 that I probably shouldn’t have…
What have you done that nobody would guess you'd done, just looking at you:
Achieved close to a black belt in karate by the age of 12 (Hiyah!).
“Just Be Well”, by Dr. Thomas Sult (my brilliant Uncle).
“The Shooter” (gotta love Mark Walberg).
Top three things on your bucket list:
Visit all 7 continents, learn to play the guitar, and take up dancing.
Favorite thing to do:
Travel, practice yoga, attend concerts, play tennis and simply enjoy time with family and friends.
When I retire:
I’d like to enjoy time at a cabin, do more leisurely travel, go on few mission trips and spend time with friends and family.
My mother. I grew up with severe asthma and a multitude of food allergies. She had the daunting task of keeping me alive and healthy.
Majored in Finance at St. Cloud State University.
Too many good ones to choose from – I love so many genres, it’s hard to pick! Everything from The Tenors, to Blues Travelers, to Red Hot Chili Peppers.
